Millie is a unique glass bust of my customers rather distinctive beloved cat.
Cast using only crystal clear Bullseye art the sculpture is around 250mm (10″) tall, just slightly larger than life.
The complex shape and greatly varying thicknesses of glass make this piece fill with light, however it is lit. This makes her very difficult to photograph, but with her in front of you, she’s alive with movement. A real demonstration of the stunning effects glass can give, it’s like no other substance.
The cost of a piece like this is entirely dependent upon the work required, the finish the accuracy of likeness etc. This particular piece took a full month of hard work to sculpt the master, make the moulds, cast finish and mount. Consequently work like this can only ever be a premium commission, but the results are undeniably worth every penny.
